Greetings School Leaders & Principals

We invite you to consider a world where young people in schools across the globe are empowered not just with knowledge, but a deeper sense of self-actualisation and wisdom. That is what our Mentors are in the business of: Forging Heroes. We have worked with students to develop an immersive, actionable and fun Life Role Playing Game (RPG) Mentoring Program that frames them as the Heroes & Heroines of their own Personal Legend. This is the Pathfinder Life-RPG System, and we have finally created a unique version of it for schools to engage in a mentorship journey like no other in the world.

A Journey Like No Other

Embark on an extraordinary journey of self-discovery and skill development with our unique life-RPG mentorship program. This innovative approach combines the thrill and immersion of Pen & Paper Role-playing games (like Dungeons & Dragons) with the transformative power of personalised mentorship. Choose from a variety of Archetypes, each representing different paths to personal growth and professional development. As you progress, your chosen archetype and the dynamic quests will guide you, offering a tailored experience that resonates with your individual journey.

Quest-Based Learning

Our program incorporates quest-based learning to provide practical, real-world applications of the skills and insights gained from their archetypes and the decisions they make within each session. These quests are carefully designed challenges that encourage students to apply their learning in real-life scenarios, within class, in the school yard or out in the public, fostering deeper understanding and master over their challenges in the arena of everyday life.

Dynamic Mentorship Experience

Beyond the typical mentor-mentee relationship, our program offers a dynamic learning experience. Our MANA Mentors are not just a guide but a collaborator in each journey, offering insights, challenging limiting self-beliefs, and adapting the program to each students evolving needs.
This approach ensures a fully immersive and interactive experience that transcends conventional mentorship, making each learning journey not just educational but truly transformative.

Benefits of TTRPG’s for Students

Using tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) in schools for pro-social skill development has gained attention in recent years, with research suggesting various benefits. Here is a list of evidence-based facts regarding the use of TTRPGs for this purpose:

  • Enhanced Social Skills: TTRPGs require players to interact and communicate effectively, which can improve social skills such as empathy, negotiation, and teamwork. Players often need to collaborate to achieve common goals, fostering a sense of cooperation (Zook & Hiniker, 2020).

  • Improved Communication: Participation in TTRPGs can enhance verbal and non-verbal communication skills, as players need to articulate their thoughts, listen to others, and interpret social cues (Rosselet & Staiff, 2013).

  • Increased Empathy: Engaging in role-play allows players to step into the shoes of their characters, which can enhance their ability to understand and empathize with different perspectives (Bowman, 2010).

  • Problem-Solving Skills: TTRPGs often involve complex scenarios that require critical thinking and problem-solving, helping players develop these skills in a collaborative setting (Simkins & Steinkuehler, 2008).

  • Emotional Regulation: Through the safe exploration of emotions within the game, players can learn to manage and express their feelings more effectively (Blackmon, 1994).

  • Resilience Building: The challenges and setbacks encountered in TTRPGs can help players develop resilience and coping strategies in a low-stakes environment (Klimmt, Hefner, & Vorderer, 2009).

  • Creativity and Imagination: TTRPGs encourage creative thinking and imagination as players create characters, invent storylines, and navigate unique situations (Meriläinen, 2012).

  • Cultural Competence: Playing characters from diverse backgrounds and interacting with varied scenarios can increase players’ awareness and appreciation of different cultures and lifestyles (Hawkins, 2018).

  • Conflict Resolution: As players navigate in-game conflicts, they can develop skills in negotiation and conflict resolution that are applicable in real-life situations (Zayas & Lewis, 1986).

  • Increased Engagement in Learning: Incorporating TTRPGs into educational settings can make learning more engaging and enjoyable, potentially leading to improved academic outcomes (Jackson & Livingstone, 201.
